SPARK—the same name and spirit as the Kontakt engine—returns as a simplified Java version. It helps composers create their own libraries quickly, with tempo-sync, XY Pad control, and clean export.
⚠️ Not a plugin: SPARK is a standalone, browser-friendly tool for those who want to simplify their workflow and avoid DAWs. Compiled by Andrew Fly. It will be available soon directly on the Cinematic Alpha website, usable online, or downloadable for free (donation optional).
SPARK started as a Kontakt engine. With the Java Edition, Andrew Fly wanted to create something lightweight, cross-platform, and immediate: a tool that works standalone, in-browser or as a Java app, with an export-first workflow so composers can design and organize sounds without DAW overhead.
What you can do in 2 minutes
- Enable MIDI + power on.
- Shape sound with the XY Pad (pads, plucks, textures).
- Set BPM + Tempo Grid for real-time sync.
- Refine with ADSR, cutoff, resonance, LFOs.
- Export WAVs—library-ready, consistently named, and time-accurate.
What makes SPARK different
- True Tempo Sync across BPM changes.
- Immediate XY Pad workflow.
- Export-first design for building libraries.
- Standalone, browser-friendly: no DAW, no plugin hassle.
- Customizable colors.
- Compiled by Andrew Fly with a composer’s mindset.
- It will be available soon: use directly on the website or download free/donation.
Who it’s for
Composers who want to create their own libraries.
If you need pads, plucks, textures, rhythmic patterns that are truly yours, SPARK lets you design and export instantly—online or offline.
What’s next
The Java Edition is intentionally simple at launch. Upcoming updates will add:
- An FX section (reverb, modulation, filters).
Andrew Fly also plans to release more free or donation-based tools to empower composers everywhere.
Conclusion
SPARK (Java Edition) isn’t “just another synth.”
It’s a standalone, browser-friendly accelerator for composers to build libraries quickly—directly on the site or as a free download.
It will be available soon.
